Testimonials:

“Within only one day we discussed with Khaled the whole trip in Egypt, although I intended to make a tour for only one day or two in Cairo with him. Khaled showed his professional way to interact with clients, and I was soon convinced to make the whole tour with him.

His knowledge of Egyptology is outstanding, and he also addresses all aspects of local life.
He organised everything, flights within Egypt, Nile cruise, entrance fees, transport and anything you asked him for.
I recommend everyone to ask for Khaled if you want to go for a tour all over Egypt, I would do it again. Thanks to Khaled, it was a nice time , enjoyed it very much — Wolfgang, Germany

We booked Khaled for an 8-day tour and felt perfectly taken care of from the first minute to the last. Khaled took care of everything from tickets to all over transportation within our tour.

This started in Cairo and went via the Pyramids of Giza, Sakkara, Egyptian Museum, Saladin Citadel, Khan Elkhalili, Luxor and from there with aNile cruise to the temples at Karnak, from Hatshepsut Temple, Colossi of Memnon, the Valley of the Kings and Edfu and Com Ombo and ended in Aswan with a visit to the dam and a Nubian village.

Khaled is very knowledgeable and was always able to answer all our questions. He was responsive to our requests for visits and then organised them quickly and without complications.

Anyone who travels to Egypt and is looking for a great guide must book Khaked. With him it was a lot of fun to discover and understand the Egyptian culture.

If we travel to Egypt again, Khaled will definitely be our guide!“— Tino, Germany

Highlights of Alexandria

Alexandria

Alexandria is a Mediterranean port city in Egypt. During the Hellenistic period, it was home to a lighthouse ranking among the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.

Few cities in the world have a history as rich as Alexandria. Founded by Alexander the Great in 331 BC, Alexandria became the capital of Greco-Roman Egypt.

Alexandria has a Mediterranean climate, with warm humid summers and mild rainy winters. Daytime can be humid in summer, with summer temperatures averaging 31°C, but evenings are usually cooler. Winters can get cold, with daytime highs down sometimes to 12°C with rain.

The best time to visit Alexandria is in spring (March-June) and autumn (September-November), since it’s at its busiest in summer. This is the time when Egyptians flock down to escape the searing heat of Cairo.

Day tours can look like this, but obviously our guides can tailor make any tour to suit you.

Visit the marble stone Roman amphitheater of Kom El-Deka that once accommodated over 800 visitors. Enjoy the sights of its mosaic floored, Roman baths and villas. Afterwards, move on to the Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa where you can feel the aura of ancient Egyptian, Greek, and Roman architectural at its best.

Next, why not visit Pompey’s Pillar, which is the significant Roman triumphal column in Alexandria. Why not take a delicious lunch from a local restaurant and then enjoy a photo stop at the Library of Alexandria. Which is one of the largest and most renowned archives of the ancient world. Finally, you can stroll along the Citadel of Qaitbay, which is built above the ruined Alexandria lighthouse.

A city rich to explore. Book a Solo Tour Guide to help you get the most of your visit.
